A black removable targa top defined the NSX-T, which Honda offered by special order in Japan from 1995 and in North America from March 1995, and in North America it nearly displaced the plain coupe. Honda added about 100 pounds of structural reinforcements to compensate for decreased chassis rigidity. The NSX also became the first Honda production car with electronic throttle control in 1995, and the NSX-R ended production in September 1995.
