The 2002 Honda NSX was the facelifted model: fixed xenon HID headlamps replaced the pop up units, spring rates and the rear stabiliser bar were increased, tail light housings and the rear spoiler were revised, and the drag coefficient dropped slightly to 0.30, improving the 0 to 125 mph time by 0.2 seconds and lifting top speed to 175 mph. North America lost the hardtop coupe from 2002 onward, a 4 speed automatic with a manual style shift option became available, and Japan alone saw a second NSX-R in 2002.
