From 1994 the Honda NSX could be ordered with the 4 speed SportShift automatic, also called F-Matic, which lets the driver either leave shifting to the transmission or change gears manually with a fingertip lever on the steering column. The 5 speed manual remained available. The 1994 model year was also the last in which a standard coupe was the principal version in North America, as the NSX-T largely replaced the coupe entirely from 1995.
