On 4 June 2009 the PASTEL and PASTEL turbo special edition models equipped with HID headlamps, based on the HID Special, were announced, sold from 11 June. On 15 October 2009 improvements were made, with improved fuel efficiency in the cars with FF naturally aspirated engines and the 4WD turbo engine, which achieved fiscal 2010 fuel economy standards, and improved electric power steering.
