Honda began leasing the all new Legend with Honda SENSING Elite in Japan on March 5, 2021; its Traffic Jam Pilot function is an advanced technology that qualifies for Level 3 automated driving. Honda said in June 2021 that the Sayama plant where the Legend is built would close at the end of 2021 and that the current car would have no successor. With the discontinuation, the Honda Accord is once again the largest Honda sedan.
