Honda introduced the third generation Inspire and Saber (UA4 and UA5) on October 15, 1998, the first Honda that was designed and built in the US and then exported to Japan. In North America this vehicle was sold as the Acura TL, while in Japan it was the second model that accompanied the flagship Honda Legend at Honda Clio dealerships. It no longer had the straight five and offered V6 engines instead, the 3.2 liter J32A and 2.5 liter J25A, each with VTEC, and the body changed from a hardtop to a sedan. Each model year has its own page.
