Honda facelifted the Insight for the 2012 model year, with several significant changes to the exterior, interior, driving and fuel economy, including updates to the suspension and revisions to the dashboard, seat fabric and some plastics. For the 2012 model year upgraded upholstery, a map light and steering wheel mounted controls were added to the LX trim, and Bluetooth, automatic headlights, a premium fabric upholstery and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob were added to the EX trim. The updated EPA fuel economy rating of the 2012 model year U.S. version is 41 city and 44 highway.
