Honda announced officially on February 28, 2014 that production of the second generation Insight would end after the 2014 model year, and in July 2014 it said the Insight would also end for 2015, along with the Honda FCX Clarity and the Honda Fit EV. The UK took it off sale in the middle of 2014. In October 2014 Top Gear magazine placed the Insight on its list of the worst cars you can buy right now. The 2014 Insight Exclusive was offered in two XL trims.
