The 2019 Honda HR-V model year brought the North American mid cycle refresh, with a revised chrome bar grille similar to the Civic, new headlamps, an updated bumper, overhead roof rails, a volume knob in place of the slider, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Honda Sensing standard on EX trims and higher. The manual transmission was no longer available, and the Sport and Touring trims were added to the LX, EX and EX-L. In Malaysia the facelifted HR-V was launched in January 2019 and the Everus VE-1 electric Vezel debuted in China in November 2019.
