1999 Honda HR-V

Automobiles

The 1999 Honda HR-V was the first model year, launched in February 1999 as a three door with four wheel drive and the internal designation GH2. It shared its platform with the Honda Logo and was built in Suzuka, Japan; changed little from the J-WJ concept, it was sold in Japan only, through Honda's Verno dealerships. A front wheel drive version followed in September 1999, available solely with the weaker engine, which lacked VTEC.
