1996 Honda CR-X del Sol

Automobiles

The Honda del Sol received a light styling refresh inside and out in 1996. In the U.S. the front auxiliary headlamps were eliminated, a new front bumper and air dam fitted and the length increased to 157.7 inches. The base S received the 1.6 liter SOHC D16Y7 engine with 106 hp, the Si the 1.6 liter 127 hp SOHC VTEC D16Y8, and the VTEC the 160 hp DOHC VTEC B16A2, and OBD-II emission control was implemented. A production delay meant that some of the 1996 sales in the U.S. home market were 1995 model year cars left over.
