The Honda FCX Clarity is based on the 2006 Honda FCX Concept and was only available as a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle available to retail customers. It offered zero emissions, refueling in five minutes and a long driving range in a full function large sedan. Honda began production in June 2008, leased the first cars in the U.S. from July 2008 and introduced it in Japan in November 2008. Its electrical power came from a 100 kW Honda V Flow hydrogen fuel cell stack, with a range on a full hydrogen tank of 390 km. Honda leased 48 FCX cars in all in the US between 2008 and 2015. Each model year has its own page.
