Honda said in June 2021 that it would stop making both the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid and the Clarity Fuel Cell that August, with the Sayama plant due to close in March 2022, and just 2,597 Claritys were delivered in 2021. Production of the Clarity stopped in August 2021, and US leases of the fuel cell variant went on into 2022. The Clarity PHEV was discontinued in 2021 along with the Fuel Cell model.
