The third generation City sedan was Honda's way into the Indian market in 1998, and it soon became a success and one of the best sellers in its segment. Honda also built the City in Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and the Philippines, among other markets. In Pakistan the City received a lukewarm reception at first, but the third generation was a massive hit.
