Indonesia launched the Brio on 2 August 2012, at first as a CBU import from Thailand in S and E grades. It used the 1.3 liter L13Z1 engine instead of the 1.2 liter L12B3 unit seen previously in the Thai and Indian market, initially mated to either a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed torque converter automatic transmission.
