The second generation Ballade from 1985 had most of its body panels in common with the Civic, apart from a sportier front end, and provided the basis for the Rover 200 and for the sports car, the CR-X. The sport-oriented version of the Civic loosely held by the Ballade evolved into the Honda Integra in 1985, and assumed the market position originally held by the Ballade at Honda Verno dealership locations. This page belongs to the Honda Ballade (second generation), 1985 to 1987 model years; the generation page and the Honda Ballade model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
