The 2014 model year brought the Honda Accord Hybrid to the United States, introduced in October 2013, with a 2.0 liter Atkinson cycle engine and a dual motor system with a 1.3 kWh lithium ion battery. The Accord Plug in Hybrid was rated by the EPA at 13 miles of all electric range and 115 MPGe, the highest in its class, but was discontinued after the 2014 model year. The Accord was named 2014 Green Car of the Year, and the Philippines received the ninth generation in 2014 as imports from Thailand.
