The Nissan Tiida is a compact car that Nissan produced from 2004 to 2023 through three generations. Depending on the market it was also sold as a subcompact, notably as the Nissan Versa in the Americas for the first generation. The first generation (C11) was offered as a four-door sedan, called the Tiida Latio in Japan, and a five-door hatchback, and was produced up to 2018 in some markets. It followed the 2003 C-Note concept shown at the Tokyo Motor Show and sits on a stretched variant of the Nissan B platform. The second generation (C12), a five-door hatchback only, was sold as the Nissan Pulsar in Thailand, Australia and New Zealand from 2013, and the third generation in Russia and China was a rebadged Pulsar (C13). The name Tiida is Okinawan for sun, continuing the naming tradition begun with the 1966 Nissan Sunny. North American Versa models used a DOHC 1.8 litre gasoline engine, later a 1.6 litre HR16DE inline-four.
