The Lancia Ypsilon of 2011 is a segment B car built by Lancia from 2011 at the plant in Tychy, Poland, as the heir of the Ypsilon presented in 2003, which stayed on sale for two more years as the Ypsilon Unyca. Its internal project code is 846. Planned for 2009, it was delayed to 2011 by the global car crisis and shown at the Geneva show. It is built on the platform of the second generation Fiat Panda, shared with the Fiat 500, and its novelty is a five door body whose rear door handles are hidden in the window pillars so that it can look like a three door car. The grille changed to horizontal slats in line with Chrysler, under whose badge the car was sold in Ireland and the United Kingdom from September 2011 and in Japan from 2012. European sales ended in May 2017, leaving Italy only, and production stopped in July 2024. It was offered with petrol, diesel, LPG and methane engines and, in 2020, as the first Lancia with hybrid propulsion.
