The DS 3 is a luxury supermini from the French marque DS Automobiles, first sold as the Citroën DS3 after its debut in 2009. It was the first and entry-level model of the DS premium sub-brand, which Citroën spun off as DS Automobiles in 2016. The first generation was a three-door hatchback with a convertible variant, offered from 2009 to 2019 and personalized by mixing body and roof colours and decals. The second generation, from 2018, became a five-door crossover SUV called the DS 3 Crossback, built on the PSA EMP1 platform shared with the Peugeot 208 and offered with petrol, diesel and electric E-Tense versions. The name returned to DS 3 with the 2022 facelift. Top Gear named the car its 2010 Car of the Year.
