The Verona of 1994 was offered in three trims, a base LX, an intermediate GLX with power steering, windows and locks, and an upscale Ghia, with the first two on the 1.8 litre AP engine and the Ghia on a 2.0 litre AP. Its drag coefficient was 0.31. The Verona was a small family car that Ford of Brazil built with Volkswagen through their Autolatina joint venture. It was sold alongside the Volkswagen Apollo, a badge engineered twin, and it was based on the European Ford Orion.
