In February 2023 the Jiangling Ford joint venture launched a facelifted version of the outgoing first generation for China, called the Transit V362, with a 2 litre turbodiesel and a five speed manual or nine speed automatic. The second generation began production at Ford Otosan that year. Passenger versions were sold as the Tourneo Custom, and the van was developed by Ford of Europe. The Transit Custom was Ford's mid size van, in the Transit range between the Transit Connect and the larger Transit.
