The second generation Transit Custom was unveiled in September 2022, so 2022 was the last year of the first generation in Europe. The Tourneo Custom passenger version was revealed on 22 November 2022 together with electric, plug in hybrid and diesel powertrains. The Transit Custom was Ford's mid size van, in the Transit range between the Transit Connect and the larger Transit. Passenger versions were sold as the Tourneo Custom, and the van was developed by Ford of Europe.
