The 1976 model year saw no major changes to the Torino, and the Gran Torino Sport was discontinued, leaving nine models: two and four door Torino, Gran Torino and Gran Torino Brougham, plus three station wagons. The 1975 and 1976 Gran Torinos were used in the Starsky and Hutch television series, and Ford built 1,000 replicas from March 1976. Production in 1976 was 193,096 units, in the final year of the Torino.
