Production of the Territory ended in 2016 when Ford Australia's full production, which also included the FG X Falcon sedan, ceased in October 2016. Between 2004 and 2016, the Territory was manufactured adopting the same chassis and sold in a total of five series, SX, SY, SY II, SZ and the final SZ II. It was the only SUV built in Australia, Ford Australia having spent 500 million Australian dollars on developing it. The Territory was a mid size SUV made by Ford Australia on the Falcon platform.
