The 2013 Taurus received a mild facelift with a revised hood, new front and rear fascias, a three bar grille, a black mesh grille for the SHO, rear LED taillights, torque vectoring control and a new 2.0 liter EcoBoost four cylinder engine joining the 3.5 liter V6 and the SHO's EcoBoost V6. Ford also introduced the Taurus based Police Interceptor Sedan for 2013 to replace the Crown Victoria police car, in a version that could not have a V8 or rear wheel drive.
