1989 Ford Taurus

Automobiles

The Taurus SHO, for Super High Output, was introduced in late 1988 as a 1989 model, as the first four door vehicle developed by Ford SVO. It was sold as a limited production model with a 3.0 liter DOHC V6 built by Yamaha producing 220 horsepower, and there was no SHO wagon. The 1989 standard Taurus got new door panels with built in armrests and side speakers, and Mercury built 50 anniversary edition Sables as a counterpart to the SHO.
