1987 Ford Taurus

Automobiles

The article used for this page names no change that belongs to 1987 alone. The Taurus was in its second model year with the L, MT-5, GL and LX models, powered by a 2.5 liter four cylinder or the 3.0 liter Vulcan V6 with a four speed automatic. It was a hit with the film industry as well: a gunmetal gray Taurus LX, modified, was driven by the title character in the 1987 action film RoboCop. Both Chicago and Atlanta assembly plants built it, replacing the LTD and Marquis in each.
