1991 Ford Mustang

Automobiles

The 1991 model year raised the output of the 2.3 liter four cylinder engines from 88 to 105 horsepower with a revised head that used two spark plugs per cylinder. The cheapest Mustang crossed ten thousand dollars in price for the first time, and sales started to fall. The convertible got a revised roof that folded closer to the body, and V8 cars received new 16 inch five spoke star alloy wheels. These were modest changes next to the facelift of 1987, which had given the front end an aero look in the style of the SVO.
