1999 Ford Mustang

Automobiles

The 1999 model year brought the New Edge facelift, announced on 26 December 1998, with sharper contours, larger wheel arches and creases in the bodywork replacing the soft lines of the earlier car, though the roofline, interior and platform were carried over. All Mustangs except the Cobra got 35th Anniversary badges, and Ford built 2,318 coupes and 2,310 convertibles in a 35th Anniversary Limited Edition GT package. The V6 rose to 190 horsepower, and the Cobra returned with a 320 horsepower 4.6 liter and independent rear suspension.
