More than 985,000 Model AA trucks were built by GAZ in the Soviet Union from 1932 to 1950, as the GAZ AA, in addition to those made by Ford. The Model AA of 1932 was a truck with the same engine as the Model A, and a final wheel that was a further modification of the 1930 wheel. The Model AA was Ford's truck companion to the Model A car, with a heavier chassis and a four speed gearbox for loaded work. Ford built it from 1927, and the Soviet GAZ built a very large number of copies.
