A new style twenty inch five slot disc wheel was adopted for the Model AA in 1930. The truck had a leaf spring suspension at the rear that was shackled to the axle, and no shock absorbers at the back, though they were available for the front end of the truck. The Model AA was Ford's truck companion to the Model A car, with a heavier chassis and a four speed gearbox for loaded work. Ford built it from 1927, and the Soviet GAZ built a very large number of copies.
