Twenty inch six slot disc wheels were made by Budd for Ford during 1929 for the Model AA, which replaced the spoked wheels of the first year. The truck had mechanical brakes, a pull lever system that worked four oversized drums, and a simple gauge cluster in a diamond shape. Ford built it from 1927, and the Soviet GAZ built a very large number of copies. The Model AA was Ford's truck companion to the Model A car, with a heavier chassis and a four speed gearbox for loaded work.
