The LTD Crown Victoria received a mid cycle revision for 1988 after nine years on the market, with restyled front and rear fascias that rounded the edges of the fenders and better integrated bumpers. The roofline and doors were carried over, and only the four door and wagon remained. The LTD Crown Victoria was the full size Ford of the 1980s, built on the rear wheel drive Panther platform. It was the Ford counterpart of the Mercury Grand Marquis and shared a body style with it.
