The third generation Kuga, on the C482 platform, was on sale in Europe with five new engine and transmission combinations, including a plug in petrol electric hybrid with about 30 miles of electric range, a conventional hybrid and two turbocharged four cylinder engines. It was longer and wider than before with a more generous wheelbase, and sold in North America as the fourth generation Escape from the third quarter of 2019 as a 2020 model.
