The 2021 Ford GT had a 66 Heritage Edition in white, red and carbon with number 98 graphics, honoring the GT40 Mk II victory at the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona. The car continued to be built at Multimatic in Ontario at about one a day, with the 660 horsepower EcoBoost V6. Ford sold it in small numbers to collectors, and it was built by specialist firms under contract rather than at Ford's own assembly plants. The Ford GT was a mid engine two seat sports car, styled in the spirit of the GT40 racing car of the 1960s.
