2011 Ford Focus

Automobiles

The third generation Focus went on sale in North America and Europe together on 2 March 2011, with production in Wayne, Michigan starting that February and Saarlouis having started in December 2010. Ford launched the Focus Electric at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2011, to compete with the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt. Colors were restricted in the summer of 2011 because the Japanese earthquake and tsunami disrupted supplies, and a plant in Russia started in July 2011.
