The second generation Focus was launched at the Paris Motor Show in September 2004 as a three and five door hatchback and an estate, with a sedan arriving in mid 2005. It was larger and heavier than the first, with 25 millimeters more wheelbase and a stiffer body, new technologies like a KeyFree system and adaptive lighting, and a retractable hardtop coupe cabriolet added in 2007. A Kinetic Design facelift followed. North America kept the first generation platform, restyled for 2008 to 2011. Each model year has its own page.
