A two door coupe cabriolet with a retractable hardtop was added to the Focus line up in 2007. The mid life Kinetic Design facelift followed in 2007 and 2008, giving the car a bonnet with more creases, sculpted pulled back headlights and a large trapezoidal lower grille, and the 2007 model year of the North American first generation car dropped its body configuration badges and gained new exterior colors.
