The Flex of 2016 was in its eighth year as Ford's full size crossover, a single generation produced at Oakville Assembly in Ontario beside the Edge and the Lincoln MKT, its rebadged variant. It continued in the facelifted form of 2013 with a Duratec V6 and an EcoBoost V6 of 365 horsepower, and was offered in SE, SEL and Limited trims in six or seven passenger seating configurations. It was a full size crossover that Ford approved for production from the 2005 Fairlane concept.
