The 2014 Flex continued the facelifted look introduced for 2013, with a revised front and rear, a 287 horsepower Duratec V6 as standard and the twin turbo 365 horsepower EcoBoost V6 on all wheel drive models, and paddle shifters. It was built at Oakville Assembly in Ontario, beside the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKT. It was the full size crossover in a line up beside the Explorer. The Flex was a full size crossover with a boxy shape drawn from the 2005 Fairlane concept.
