The 2013 Flex received a mid cycle facelift in which the roofline and doors were retained and the front and rear revised. The previous up and down gear selection buttons were replaced by steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Duratec V6 was increased in output to 287 horsepower for 2013 and the EcoBoost V6 to 365 horsepower, in a crossover that was built at Oakville. The Flex continued to be built at Oakville Assembly beside the Edge and the MKT.
