The Figo was discontinued in 2021 when Ford closed its Chennai and Sanand plants and left the Indian market, along with the Endeavour and the EcoSport. The version for the Mexican market remained on sale until 2021. It had been Ford's small car for emerging markets for eleven years. Ford India built it at its plants near Chennai and in Gujarat before the company closed them in 2021. The Figo was a small Ford hatchback made in India for emerging markets and based on the fifth generation Fiesta.
