Ford India launched the second generation Figo in 2015 with a large front grille that looked like an Aston Martin, chrome plated on the Titanium and Titanium Plus trims. A Figo Aspire sedan was released in August 2015, and Ford aimed for 20,000 units a month from the Sanand plant. Ford India built it at its plants near Chennai and in Gujarat before the company closed them in 2021. The Figo was a small Ford hatchback made in India for emerging markets and based on the fifth generation Fiesta.
