A facelifted Figo went on sale on 15 October 2012 with a larger hexagonal grille and redesigned head and tail lamps, with no mechanical changes. The two hundred thousandth Figo was sold in August 2012, twenty nine months after production began, from the Chennai plant. The Figo was a small Ford hatchback made in India for emerging markets and based on the fifth generation Fiesta. Ford India built it at its plants near Chennai and in Gujarat before the company closed them in 2021.
