The facelifted sixth generation Fiesta went on sale in Europe in 2013, after being shown at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012. The new front end used Ford's trapezoidal grille. The sedan version, which had been available across Asia and North America since 2010, was not marketed in Europe at all. In Latin America the sixth generation would later outlive the rest of the line, as a further update for Brazil and other Mercosur markets followed in November 2017.
