Ford announced the Fiesta ST for the seventh generation, in Europe, on 24 February 2017, with an all new 200 PS three cylinder 1.5 liter EcoBoost engine fitted with a turbocharger and cylinder deactivation. In November 2017 Ford updated the sixth generation Fiesta for Brazil and other Mercosur markets, because the seventh generation was not sold in Latin America. That Brazilian update was the second one of the sixth generation's life.
