1987 Ford Fiesta

Automobiles

The new CTX continuously variable transmission, which was also fitted in the Fiat Uno, was added to the Fiesta range in May 1987, though it could only be had with the 1.1 liter engine and relatively few CTX Fiestas were built. The core range was still Popular, Popular Plus, L, Ghia and the 1.4S, with the XR2 at the top and its lean burn engine from the previous November. The unleaded petrol modifications to the engine range made a year earlier were by now in place.
