The Zetec S joined the British Fiesta line up in 2000 as the highest trim, with a 1.6 liter 16 valve Sigma engine making 101 horsepower, stiffer anti-roll bars and uprated brakes shared with the Puma. The Zetec S became very popular with tuners. In South Africa the facelift used Port Elizabeth built Rocam engines instead of the European Sigma units, and a Zetec S was also sold there as the RSi. The Zetec S has an online following, and tuning companies develop parts for its Sigma engine.
