2011 marked a major upgrade to the powertrain lineup. In the interest of increasing fuel economy both versions of the 4.6 liter V8 and the 5.4 liter V8 were discontinued, replaced by a 3.7 liter V6, a 5.0 liter V8 and an all new 3.5 liter twin turbocharged V6 called EcoBoost, which produced up to 365 horsepower. The 6.2 liter V8 became standard on the SVT Raptor and Harley-Davidson. The Ranger was withdrawn in North America, which made the F-150 the smallest Ford truck there.
